Cassi Hart

Cassi Hart is a proud Rusk Eagle through and through - she was born and raised in Rusk and is part of the RHS ? 2016. Her Rusk Eagle roots run deep, seeing as her husband, Lance, is also an RHS Alum (? 2006), and her 3 children, Liam (? 2042), Laiklyn (? 2034), and Chloe (? 2029) are little Eagles themselves. Coach Hart graduated from Texas A&M University, ? 2020 (WHOOP!), earning a B.S. in Kinesiology - Motor Behavior, with a minor in Psychology. She has been an assistant softball & volleyball coach at Rusk ISD for 5 years, going on 6. Not only does she serve as an assistant coach for softball and volleyball, she also teaches AP Biology and Anatomy & Physiology at RHS.

During her time as a student-athlete at RHS, Coach Hart played both softball and volleyball for Rusk, and is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the athletic program and community that helped shape who she is today. Coach Hart’s philosophy in all things (coaching, teaching, life) is shaped around the following verse:

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Coach Hart’s ultimate goal is to be a light for Christ, while allowing others to see the power and strength of JESUS through her life work.
