Coach Travis Pepin enters his fourth season as an assistant football and baseball coach at Rusk High School. A 2018 graduate of Rusk High School, Coach Pepin was a member of the Eagles football program before continuing his playing career at the college level. He later transferred to Texas A&M University, where he earned a spot as a walk-on and played for three seasons. During his final year, he served as a student coach while completing both his bachelor's and master's degrees. Coach Pepin is grateful for the opportunity to return home and invest in the next generation of Rusk athletes. His passion is developing young men of character, leadership, and accountability, while preparing them for success beyond football. He believes in living out the core values of the Rusk Athletic program every day—Tough, Detailed, Together—and challenging his players to do the same in everything they do. Coach Pepin and his wife, Val, are proud parents to their son, Bolton, and daughter, Breelyn.
