Adam Nimitz has been a dedicated educator at Rusk High School for the past 28 years. He graduated from the University of Texas in Dallas and moved to Rusk in 1998 with his wife Stephanie, who serves as one of the counselors at Rusk High School.  Coach Nimitz currently teaches U.S. History and AP U.S. History, bringing energy, insight, and a deep passion for helping students understand the past and its impact on the present. In addition to his work in the classroom, he has served as the head tennis coach since 2023 and enjoys encouraging his student-athletes to grow in both skill and character.  During the spring 2025 season, Coach Nimitz and his athletes earned 80 medals in various tournaments, which is almost a 1,000 percent increase over the previous year.  

Beyond academics and athletics, Coach Nimitz sponsors the National Honor Society and leads a weekly Bible study for teachers and administrators.
