Justin Sumrall is beginning year 1 at Rusk ISD where he will be coaching the Head Basketball coach and will also coach Football and Track. Coach Sumrall is a native of Santa Fe, Texas and earned his Bachelors degree from Grandview University where he also won a NAIA National Championship with the Vikings Football team. He then earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from SFA. Coach Sumrall has made coaching stops at Santa Fe, Pasadena, Nacogdoches and Martinsville. He brings experience from both large and small school districts, but his focus remains on mentoring young athletes to be hard workers and productive members of their community. He is married to his wife, Keilea Sumrall, who is an assistant professor in the master’s of athletic training program at SFA and they have a daughter named Kynzie (3).
