Yancarlo Palacios, born and raised in Princeton, Texas, is a dedicated coach, mentor, and humble follower of Christ. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. It was during his time at SFA that he met his beautiful wife, Angela, who will also be a teacher at Rusk High School. Together they have been married for 7 years, raising their daughter - Janie May (3) and expecting their son Luciano in October. A coaching career that has included 3 total state championships in baseball (1) and football (2) with stops at Texarkana - Pleasant Grove, Sanger, Carthage, and most recently serving as Head Baseball Coach/Special Teams Coordinator at Hughes Springs High School. Coach Palacios brings both experience and passion to the field. Beyond sports, his greatest calling is to influence and mentor young people to grow closer to Christ. “My family and I are beyond blessed to have the opportunity to join this coaching staff, school district, and community," says Coach Palacios, who is eager to make a lasting impact both on and off the field.
